PHA Core Initiatives
PHA’s core initiatives focus on two interconnected areas that support inclusive public health knowledge in Africa: Open Education and Open Publishing. These initiatives are implemented through the COPPHA programme and provide African researchers with training, tools, and alternative models for knowledge dissemination.
Open Education
PHA delivers high-quality, open-access training through online courses, designed for African researchers and facilitated by experienced public health professionals. These courses are hosted on the Peoples-Praxis learning platform and delivered under the COPPHA initiative.

COPPHA PublishNow is an open peer review platform operated by WACREN that implements the PRC (Publish, Review, Curate) model. It allows researchers to engage in the open review of preprints and receive transparent, constructive feedback.
